So, you think Oʻahu is all about wet sandy bathing suits, lots of tourists and Blue Hawaiʻis on the beach ... well, yea, there is some of that, but there is so much more. Oʻahu has some of the best beaches in the world, great hiking, amazing food, an interesting history and culture, shopping and a ton of the Aloha spirit.
I always recommend Oʻahu for first time visitors, especially those leaving the mainland for the first time. It's a great way to get acclimated to the time zone, lower your blood pressure and take in some of the amazing sights and sounds the island has to offer, and really get to know the incredible people of Hawaiʻi. In fact, you will soon find your vacation coming to an end and wishing for more.
Want a sampling of all that is possible on Oʻahu ... Check out this short video from the Hawaiʻi Tourism Authority.
